surrender/absorb
This series was made on a secret island, where Marko and I escaped after his difficult, chaotic year. He arrived drained — caught between exhaustion, conflict, and the quiet feeling that something inside him had already ended. Then, as if the body decided before the mind, he fell ill. It was brief but fierce — a kind of purge that stripped everything down to what mattered.
In the days that followed, I photographed him slowly coming back to himself. The sea, the silence, the goats, and the empty space around us became part of that healing. I mostly stayed behind the camera, watching — witnessing how fragility can turn, almost imperceptibly, into order.
